DIRECTIONS 

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly butter two-quart casseroles or baking dish (HA012) and place aside.

In a pan, heat your olive oil. Add the onions and sauté for several minutes until they become translucent. Then add the beef, and cook until the meat is cooked. Sprinkle with cumin, salt, and pepper according to your preference. Set aside.

Mix the cabbage pieces, chopped ground beef, onion mix, and apple chunks in the baking dish, adding breadcrumbs (if you are using them) over the layers as you move.

Smooth the top layer using the big spoon (HA060) or spatula before adding the last layer of breadcrumbs. Pour the butter that has been melted across the whole casserole.

Protect with foil made of aluminum (NF641). Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 50 minutes or until it is warm throughout. Remove cover during the last 15 minutes. Serve hot, and have fun!

  • 6 TBS butter that has been melted
